POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the delivery and implementation of leadership and development training programs while partnering with cross-functional business leaders to ensure that continuous employee development is consistent with business initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducts needs-analysis and confers with directors and managers to determine training needs. Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
  • Formulates training programs and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
  • Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-play, and computer-based training.
  • Organizes and develops training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Instructs assigned trainers and supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training.
  • Researches and selects outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topics
  • Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate training effectiveness, and monitor progress of trainees.
  • Drafts applications and proposals to submit to fund granting authorities such as government and foundations.
  • Instruct and assist with specialized Workshops, which may be conducted at The Ozark Mill, Finley Farms, and other locations from time to time, all at the direction of Big Cedar, LLC.
  • Build, facilitate, and evaluate department-specific training programs.
  • Create and maintain certification tracking system for both industry-compliant and OJT programs.
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure training is continually evolving to meet and exceed departmental and resort goals and standards.
  • Partner with H.R./Training Department team members to accomplish team goals.
  • Cross train with other members of the team for facilitation of various training programs.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to design and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Build learning items from analysis, design and storyboard, through development of final deliverable. Related administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This individual will design, develop and deliver training that transfers critical knowledge, develops technical and strategic skills in our Associates and drives behavior change.
  • Will continually evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure training meets business needs and objectives. 
  • This associate will support operations, and the build and implementation for new initiatives, integration efforts, enhancements and upgrades to existing training for the teams supported.
  • The individual will plan and analyze the functional and business support of specific learning needs and works closely with department leaders, numerous internal support teams, and third parties to ensure the successful development and integration of the learning deliverables. 
  • Other tasks as assigned by Human Resources Leadership

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

                Preferred Degree:  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business/Organizational Management or similar degree

       Certificate(s) or License(s)

       Experience:  Prefer continued leadership growth within human resources with specific focus on training and

         Development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Very strong analytics knowledge
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detailed
  • Excellent in time management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Training/instructional design and development experience is preferred
  • Sound leadership and managerial skills
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  

                There is potential for limited travel. (5%)
