POSITION SUMMARY 

Coordinate the collection of trash refuse from the grounds areas at Big Cedar Lodge and Top of the Rock and surrounding properties.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and coordinate safe working practices in the handling of the refuse
  • When not actively involved with debris pick up, will work with the Landscaping team
  • Drive around resort to ensure cleanliness of the property
  • Perform other duties as required

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    

      Minimum Degree Required:  High School Diploma or GED

      Preferred Degree:  N/A

      Certificate(s) or License(s): N/A

Requirements: possess a valid Missouri “E” or Arkansas “P” driver’s license, clean and safe driving record, must be at least 18 years of age

      Experience:  Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

  • Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for customer service.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  The employee will be exposed to poison ivy, oak and sumac on a regular basis, and must be able to work closely with these plants and possibly other toxic plant materials, as well as bees, wasps and yellow jackets.
