The Ecommerce Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the online sales of merchandise.  They will partner with team for decision-making for the website, social media, and online advertising.



  • Participate in all aspects of building products and features, from ideation through launch and optimization.
  • This role is inherently cross-functional. You’ll work closely with Director of Retail, buying team, reservations, marketing to bring features to develop and grow business opportunities, as well as enhance our guest experience.
  • Leverage data and analytics to track current site performance as well as make recommendations during each phase of the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Director of Retail to ensure requirements are effectively captured in the final design output.
  • Communicate with buyers any product needs that are observed.
  • Research industry trends, customer feedback, and current performance data to conceptualize and suggest new opportunities that support Big Cedar’s vision.
  • Design and implement seasonal changes on the website.  Includes purchase of visual properties, installation, and dismantling of seasonal displays.
  • Provide guest service while working in shops.
  • Assist with visual projects as needed.  Projects may include room interiors, museum design, and a variety of requests from the VP and Owners.

Other duties as assigned.



       Minimum Degree Required:  High School Diploma or GED, Education/Training in preferred degree

       Preferred Degree:  Computer-related or business field, visual merchandising, and an auxiliary study in accounting,     

       inventory control, or other areas of business can be a huge plus.

       Certificate(s) or License(s):

       Experience: 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Visual Merchandising, or related field


Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Good Computer Skills - Using computer hardware and software (ecommerce platform software e.g., Shopify, image software e.g., Photoshop or Illustrator, systems ERP or POS, etc.).
