Are you looking for a fast-paced, high energy, team environment? Big Cedar Lodge is currently looking for enthusiastic, motivated and guest service driven professionals to join our team.

 

Position Summary:

Provide prompt, hospitable service to guests in a counter-service restaurant setting. Assist in the preparation of food and cleanliness of the outlet.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate computerized cash register accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain a neat and clean environment throughout work/guest areas

  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Prepare and portion food orders prior to and during service period

  • Adhere to proper sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team

  • Safe use of oven and smoker

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:  One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:  Basic Computer skills.  Experience with Point of Sales systems (such as Micros or Springer/Miller helpful)
