Job Summary:

  • Enjoys working and communicating with all different types of people and able to be personable and patient with them in all situations
  • Interacting with guests during the activities by answering questions, talking about Big Cedar and TOR, and making them feel welcome at all times.
  • Help with trail walks at Top of the Rock ensuring we are keeping our guests safe while on the trail and creating lasting memories for them while they explore the trail, including taking pictures of guests when asked, answering questions, and creating a fun, energetic experience for our guests.
  • Assist with Stand Up Paddle Board classes twice a week helping place boards in the water before class and taking them out of the water after class.
  • Must enjoy being outdoors and working in different types of environments such as heat, near water, and on nature trails.
  • Assist with other classes and duties as needed by our fitness team

    Education and/or Experience:  High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills:   Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
