Position Summary: To oversee guest and associate needs for the Marina Operation, making changes to ensure these needs are met.

Essential Functions:

  • Support Marina Ops Manager and Big Cedar Executive Team in implementing company direction and policies.

  • Oversee marina facility, (docks, retail space, launching ramps, and shoreline) to ensure physical assets are in working order.

  • Moving docks as lake levels fluctuate, to ensure access at all times.

  • Be proactive when addressing maintenance issues

  • Maintain rental fleet, (pontoons, fishing, runabouts, personal watercraft, canoes, kayaks and paddleboats)

  • Attention to detail regarding cleanliness of entire facility, rental fleet, and guest areas.

  • Manage associates, schedules, training, disciplinary actions, all in a manner in line with budgeted levels.

  • Manage reservation system for boat rentals, slip rentals, and campground rentals.

  • Be proficient in POS systems in retail store.

  • Help in recruiting top notch seasonal associates to create dynamic team environment.

  • Keep stock levels of retail items consistent and appropriate

  • Manage merchandise inventories and back stock.

  • Ability to interact with guests/customers as an example for your team to follow.

  • Show facility/docks/boat slips to prospective tenants for annual lease.

  • Cultivate strong relationship with our partners/Army Corps of Engineers

  • Hold accountable our Independent Contractors who deliver services such as fishing guides and ski schools.

  • Address issues for annual and overnight boat slip tenants.

  • Practice good stewardship of company assets, and equipment.

  • Adapt and overcome when faced with daily challenges

  • Always mindful as to weather conditions affecting rentals, marina facility, guest and associate safety.

  • Look for areas of potential revenue growth.

  • Promote excellent working relationships with in-house engineering staff as well as outside vendors/contractors.

  • Remember who we are and what we represent in all interactions.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous customer service or reception experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and strong organizational and computer skills are required.

  • Class E License Required, CDL w/ passenger endorsement preferred.

  • Boaters Registration Card
