Summary:  To perform maintenance on all laundry equipment while creating    

          and maintaining a preventative maintenance program.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.   Maintain and repair all laundry equipment to include: pneumatics,

     electrical, electronics, water handling systems, hydraulics and

     propane gas systems.

2.   Daily cleaning of equipment, to include: filters, lint bags and

     traps.

3.   Inspection of grease fittings.

4.   Respond to emergency maintenance calls within the department.

5.   Inspect weekly; bearings, fluid levels, belts, ribbons, chains,

     pilot assemblies, switches, set screws, scanners, compression rolls,

     ironing cylinder and regulators.

6.   Inspect monthly, grease and oil levels, while adjusting all

     equipment as required by manufacturers instructions.

7.   Maintain proper laundry equipment spare parts inventory levels, as

     required.

8.   Establish and maintain contact with vendors and/or manufacturers

     technical representatives.

9.   Establish and maintain preventative maintenance program while

     recording all maintenance actions.

10.  Provide maintenance reports to Executive Housekeeper and Director of

     Engineering.

11.  Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:  Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Missouri Propane Certification, Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction is required.
