Position Summary:

As part of the Big Cedar Lodge Hospitality Team you’ll partner with the marketing and executive teams based in Ridgedale, MO at Big Cedar Lodge. This role supports all of Bass Pro Shops Hospitality including Big Cedar Lodge, Bass Pro Shops Angler’s Lodge, Big Cypress Lodge, Finley Farms, and Top of the Rock.

This position is responsible for designs, development, maintenance, and upkeep of hospitality brands creative assets including, but not limited to: print ads, digital ads, static and digital billboards, website graphics, and graphics and layouts for executive leadership presentations. In addition, this position will also be responsible for designing promotional materials, print collateral, expanded digital advertisements, and operational material as well.


Essential Functions:


Graphic Design & Visual Content

  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, working primarily in a Macintosh environment.
  • Bring concepts to life by creating strong visual messages with a targeted purpose.
  • Thorough understanding of the production process in order to prepare final art files for print.
  • Thorough understanding of print ad specs including setting up files with proper bleed, trim and live area measurements per individual publication requirements.
  • Design monthly print advertisements that align with current campaigns for all hospitality properties as advertising is contracted.
  • Design and/or customize leadership presentations according to brand guidelines and specific leadership requests; many of these being in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Proofread layouts for grammar and spelling accuracy.
  • Design and develop brand appropriate graphs, charts, infographics, etc., as needed for quarterly and annual reporting.



Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop annual graphics and visual marketing plan to accompany the overall Hospitality marketing plans.
  • Use cloud based operating systems to store and organize information.
  • Organize and maintain the marketing team’s Digital Asset Manager, Brandfolder
  • Provide superior service to our customers (both internal and external), while upholding service standards.
  • Must possess a sense of urgency and be solutions oriented and/or approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Travel to other properties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Candidate Profile


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • 4+ years in design related field
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Analytical skills required
  • Ability to perform as a strong team player at both a local and corporate level
