Summary:      To perform duties of Store Attendant, such as providing world class customer service, providing information about available activities, documenting and reconciling daily revenue through POS system, the Retail Lead will have responsibility for inventory and displays.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  1. Greet, interact with, and assist with visitors.
  2. Provide sales leadership helping the team achieve budgeted goals.
  3. Assist with incoming phone calls, receive messages and/or transfer calls to appropriate person.
  4. Creates a visually appealing sales floor with strong merchandise statements. 
  5. Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area. 
  6. Create a safe environment for guests and associates. 
  7. Accurately, and efficiently, handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment via POS system.
  8. Responsible for opening and closing registers daily, balancing daily receipts, running daily reports, and preparing daily deposits.
  9. Assist in the retail operation by receiving merchandise with accurate documentation of goods received, pricing merchandise, and assist with quarterly inventories.
  10. Assist with housekeeping-related duties as needed.
  11. Ensure proper retail inventory levels are maintained.
  12. Complete and efficiently process appropriate paperwork, such as Purchase Orders.
  13. Develop and maintain processes for physically pricing merchandise.
  14. Train and assist other Store Attendants as necessary.
  15. Other related duties as required

 

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

 

Mathematical Skills

 

            Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

 A safe driving record and a Missouri Class E or Arkansas ‘P’ Designation driver’s license are required.

 

Other Skills and Abilities

Previous retail experience required. Must have outstanding customer service and selling skills and be able to lead team in these areas. Position requires exceptional merchandise presentation skills with the ability to make strong product statements. The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, and to maintain a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction. Computer and cash handling experience essential.
