Position Summary: To handle emergency breakdowns and provide planned maintenance on vehicles in a fast and efficient manner to provide for guest and associate safety and satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

1.   Safely and efficiently handle emergency breakdowns.

2.   Determine preventive maintenance schedules, and perform preventive maintenance to prolong vehicle life.

3.   Become familiar with all fleet vehicles.

4.   Provide input regarding purchase/repair of all vehicles.

5.   Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters coming to her/his attention so prompt action may be taken when appropriate.

6.   Will perform other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience:  College or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  ASE Certification. Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction is required.

The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
