Position Summary: Maintains safe and secure environment for Guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring the Camp Ground and enforces Camp Ground Policies. Is the acting supervisor of the Camp Ground Premises while on duty and performs all tasks needed to insure a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all guests at Camp Long Creek. 

Essential Functions:

  • Is the main contact for the Camp Ground during hours that the Camp Ground Front desk staff is not present taking all phone calls for the Camp Ground and insuring service situations are completed in a timely and professional manor

  • Is able to smile, be alert, and assist guests with the highest level of professionalism possible.

  • Register guests and assign rooms, accommodations when necessary.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the accommodations, rates, packages and booking procedures.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of all office machines, computer programs, fax machines etc.

  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness in working areas including front desk and booth.

  • Performs re-stocking and cleaning of Camp Ground equipment including dog stations, camp grills, and public space areas like Dog Park and Camp Bath House.

  • Assists with removal of debris from walkways including snow.

  • Performs preventive maintenance and general repairs on public spaces, guest accommodations and facilities that impact guests immediate needs

  • Acquires working knowledge of Camp Ground Facilities which include Marina, Pool, Dog Park, Beach, and other various locations around property to respond appropriately to guest questions as required.

  • Able to work with children and Dogs

  • Assists Camp guests with room swaps including the safe transport of luggage if needed

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

  • Controls traffic by directing drivers, and resolves parking issues with guests.

  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

  • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

  • Respond to emergencies and requests for service.

  • Will perform other duties as required. 


Candidate Profile: 

Education and/or Experience: High School Graduate or GED, some college is recommended. 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in Loss Prevention, Front Desk operations, and or any other service related profession.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is encouraged.

Other Skills and Abilities:  Ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
