Summary:  Answer phones in a friendly professional manner, take food orders and prepare trays for delivery.  Clean and reset tables and stocking station efficiently.  Assist servers in expediting service to guests. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.    Answer phones in a friendly professional manner.

2.    Take guest food orders correctly and prepare trays for delivery. 

3.    Upsell whenever possible.

4.    Setup and prebus tables along with doing sidework.

5.    Pick up Room Service Trays

6.    Fold napkins.

7.    Smile and greet all guests in a pleasant manner, using surnames when    obtained.

8.    Follow liquor liability laws.

9.    Be able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds/ climb stairs.

10.   Be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

11.   Have a clean driving record and ability to drive safely.

12.   Polish flatware in assigned area.

13.   Complete assigned sidework duties.

14.   Regularly attend all departmental meetings.

15.   Be able to count money and accurately perform basic accounting procedures.

16.   Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:  

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

 

 

 

Reasoning Ability:  

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

If working as a Room Service Server, a safe driving record and a Missouri E or Arkansas D with a “P” endorsement designation driver's license.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to walk and carry up to 75 pounds frequently.

The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
