Position Summary:

This position will help support all social media strategies by promoting all Big Cedar Lodge brands identity and help attract, inform and engage BCL’s stakeholders (clients, partners, employees, media, and job seekers) via social channels.

Expected Contributions:

§   Develop social media posts, either as a campaign or individually, to support blogs.

§   Assist with the creation of social and web content (e.g., graphics, messages, blogs, video clips)

§   Monitor social media conversations and brand mentions to assess negative, neutral and positive comments.

§   Utilize reporting techniques, including refining existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to help guide social strategies and identify areas for improvement.

§   Assist with the creation of social and web content (e.g., graphics, messages, blogs, video clips, and podcasts) aligned with business goals

§   Monitor groups and chatrooms and use data to help guide and strengthen messaging strategies and interactions with stakeholders online.

§   Help maintain a strong online company voice through social media

§   Liaise with marketing and business development teams to help the team ensure message consistency and identify emerging needs that can be supported with social media

§   Keep current with emerging e-marketing technologies, trends and practices and make recommendations to Corporate Communications leadership

§   Regularly benchmark against competitors’ and customers’ social media channels and report developments

§   Create and review content for third party digital ads in a variety of online formats

§   Monitor performance of digital ads (e.g. social media ads, retargeting ads, PPC and banner ads, etc.)

§   Analyze and generate reports from all social related tools to share with the marketing and leadership teams

Essential Functions:

§   Working knowledge of Google Analytics and social media monitoring tools.

§   Monitor social media for company mentions and post from associates

§   Develop reports to inform communication efforts, and evaluate campaign performance

§   Working knowledge of the development of social graphics and infographics

§   Ability to work with different groups throughout the company to develop and coordinate messaging, photography, and videography

§   Work quickly and efficiently while delivering high quality projects and products

Candidate Profile:

§   Education and Experience

§   High school diploma or GED required

§   4 year degree in a related field; Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English

§   3+  years’ experience in marketing, public relations, advertising or administrative positions preferred

§   Working Knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media editing software

§   Hospitality experience preferred

§   Intermediate Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.). The ability to quickly master new software.

§   Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

§   Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

§   Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

§   Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.

§   Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

§   Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.

§   Originality - The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about products, services or situations, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
