Individual contributor position responsible for supporting the business by keeping the sales floor stocked from day to day. Has the ability to flex into multiple roles including replenishing and/or processing merchandise, selling, and cashiering as needed. Drive store sales through full merchandise displays.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Positively impact customer experience through display and visual appeal.
  • Ensure that products are accessible, constantly available, and properly distributed.
  • Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner.
  • Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy
  • Participate in formal periodic inventory audits.
  • Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and reporting suspicious activities to supervisor.
  • Evaluate sales floor to determine merchandise needed for next day’s delivery.
  • Prepare merchandise and supplies to be transported to The Shoppe and mailing or shipping providers (e-commerce).
  • Organize the stockroom or warehouse, and ensure accurate labeling, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness.




Assistant Manager



Accountable to delivering sales plan through effective management/delegation of store and operational tasks and execute tasks as assigned and leadership tasks as delegated by the store manager.

  • Lead and model the selling and customer experience standards
  • Lead selling efforts to meet selling goals during scheduled shifts
  • Ensure team communication; reinforcing that associates at every level are focused and accountable to selling
  • Build highly satisfied and loyal customer base through engagement
  • Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work
  • Assist in meeting payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage (manage call-ins / call-offs)
  • Ensure associates receive scheduled breaks and meal periods (per state specific guidelines)

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage controllable expenses
  • Perform opening and closing routines including execution of bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpret / disseminate company directive
  • Act as manager on duty, when scheduled, to address customer service or maintenance issues
  • Partner with the store manager to support action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of operational activities
  • Maintain policies and procedures
  • Incorporate Loss Prevention and safety messages into daily operations
