Position Summary:

The Sales Content Specialist will work closely with group sales, vacation planning, and marketing team members. This position will be responsible for identifying target audiences for group and corporate sales campaigns while developing and executing content that informs, inspires, and celebrates the Bass Pro Shops Hospitality brands, anchored by Big Cedar Lodge.

The successful candidate must be creative-minded, detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong writing and communication skills. Maintaining the ability to track multiple projects at once while coordinating with key stakeholders is imperative.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, create and execute ongoing content strategies to advance Big Cedar Hospitality’s mission amoung identified target audiences.
  • Organize and maintain group sales contact databases and identify segments for niche and targeted group messaging.
  • Manage and update hospitality brand profiles on third-party websites and databases such as Meetings Today, CVENT, and other industry outlets.
  • Coordinate deployment of group sales marketing campaigns and content in a timely manner.
  • Publish core stories to support and further overall meeting planner engagement.
  • Track performance of all campaigns and determine effectiveness based on defined targets.
  • Generate reports on overall sentiment and notable trends, and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Edit, proof, and manage written drafts of sales communication projects and materials.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with all hospitality departments and managers.
  • Propose new strategies to promote industry engagement and lead generation.
  • Develop reports to inform group sales marketing efforts, and evaluate campaign performance.
  • Ability to write content and schedule targeted marketing emails.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications
  • Proficent with CRM management and workflows
  • Ability to work with different groups throughout the company to develop and coordinate messaging.
  • Work quickly and efficiently.
  • Engage with group sales trade publications and meeting planners to stay informed on industry trends and comset strategies.
  • Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education: 

  • Two years’ experience in marketing or sales positions preferred.  
  • Proficient writer with a strong ability to communicate effectively via various typres of written content.
  • Highly organized and able to track projects from inception to delivery.
  • Possess the ability to problem-solve and react quickly with a positive attitude.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.). The ability to quickly master new software.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Originality - The ability to come up with creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
