POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of F&B is responsible for Assisting the Director of Food & Beverage in leading the Big Cedar food & Beverage operations. The Assistant Director of F&B oversee the continued growth, revenue management and day-to-day operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and assist as necessary with all operations, which may include: line set-up and restocking; food preparation, customer service; cleaning and organizing cooking, service and dining area; dishwashing; bartending, menu development, large party reservations etc.
  • Monitor food and service to ensure that appropriate quality standards are maintained.
  • Reviews staffing needs to ensure all guest services and operational needs are met within labor standards Plan and conduct manager staff meetings.
  • Guest service standards, staff training, management development
  • Manage all internal/external communications in a timely and effective manner
  • Regularly attend resort communications meetings.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

            Preferred Degree:  Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field

       Certificate(s) or License(s):

       Experience:   5+ years in F&B Senior Management Role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Broad, advanced knowledge and skills related to restaurant operations, including experience in ordering, inventory control, staff scheduling, cash reports and similar administrative or management functions (preferably in multi-unit operation).
  • Review and analyze financial reports and statements.
  • History of team growth and development.
  • Advanced administrative, math and supervisory skills. Previous budget administration experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of commercial food service equipment.
  • Proven ability to deal effectively with guests and other company personnel, in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
  • Strong wine and liquor knowledge preferred.
  • ServeSafe and beverage service certification required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% locally
