POSITION SUMMARY: The Golf Course maintenance summer intern will be responsible for chemical applications, irrigation troubleshooting, exposure to small crew leadership opportunities and other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs chemical applications to greens, tees, fairways and fescue areas.  
• Develop base knowledge of programming and troubleshooting of the irrigation system.
• Achieve sound moisture management skills on our bentgrass greens during the stressful summer months in the transition zone climate.  
• Help lead the maintenance crew in small projects.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree:  Bachelor's Degree_____Turfgrass Management___ (if applicable)
• Certificate(s) or License(s): 3A Spray License
• Years of experience:  ________0-1_____ 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Currently enrolled in a Turfgrass management Program or working towards a bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management

• Have or ability to obtain a commercial Missouri 3A spray License.
