Summary:  To provide the guest with a professional, friendly Spa experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.   Prepare Spa and service rooms at the start of each shift.

 

2.   Provide professional and friendly Facials, Body Wraps, Body Polishes, and relaxation massages for guests following the procedures outlined in the Spa Manual. May do facial waxing.

 

3.   Be knowledgeable of retail products and attempt to sell and upsell products to guests.

 

4.   Will be responsible for daily treatment room supplies, restocking linens and products used and sanitizing/cleaning room and bottles and equipment used.  Must have extensive knowledge of product reactions and chemical effects on skin.

 

5.   Offer service enhancements and upgrades to each guest and report changes to front desk or on tablet provided.

 

6.   Will review online waivers and address concerns with guest and in treatment, keeping all personal information of guest confidential.

 

7.   Will attend mandatory team meetings, read Huddles, and attend vendor trainings to learn about products and protocols.

 

8.   Make Spa Manager aware of any instances of guest dissatisfaction.

 

             9.  Will perform other duties as required. Applicants they are expected to also do relaxation massage up to 60 minutes as part of their shift schedule.

 

 

Qualifications:   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.              Education and/or Experience:  Missouri esthetics license and appropriate education from technical school.

 

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, protocols and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees of organization.  Understand product ingredients and interactions for skincare.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as upgrade costs, discounts, and service charge rate.  Ability to apply basic math in calculating upgrade cost plus service charge for guest.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Must be a licensed Esthetician with the state of Missouri.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and timeliness and a real concern for guest satisfaction.

 

Other Qualifications:  Dual licensing with massage is desirable but not required.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
