Summary:  To provide the spa guest with a professional, friendly experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.   Prepare/check room assignment board.  Lead daily Huddles.

 

2.   Provide professional and friendly treatments following the procedures and protocols approved by Spa and Missouri Board of Massage Therapy regulations.

 

3.   Be knowledgeable of retail products and offer to sell and upsell products and services to guests.

 

4.   Will be responsible for assisting monitor supply inventory control and reporting to Manager.

 

5.   Lead by example on stocking linens, supplies, cleanliness, positive behavior

 

6.   Provide updated protocols, service suggestions, web ideas and updates to Manager and train new therapists.

 

7.   Make Spa Manager or front desk team aware of any instances of guest or team dissatisfaction.

 

9.   Will critique and evaluate all new therapists in training prior to them performing treatments on guests.  Will coordinate and monitor 30, 60 and 90-day goals and evaluations with manager of new associates.

 

10. Assist the Spa Manager in preparing shift schedules and provide 35-40 hours/week for bookings including holidays and weekend shifts. Assist in covering call-outs, when necessary.

 

11. Will perform other duties as required.

 

                         Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

             Education and/or Experience:  Missouri massage license and/or esthetics license and  at least 5 years related                                                                                experience.     

 

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, protocols and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Good at resolving conflict.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                          Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,                              

                          proportions, percentages related to pay.   Understand current booking software system to advise front desk on ability to upsell or suggest room moves

 

                          Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in

                          situations where standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in  

                          written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to handle conflict.

 

                          Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Must be a licensed massage therapist or esthetician with the state of Missouri.

 

                          Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real

                          concern for guest and associate satisfaction.

 

                          Other Qualifications:  Leadership qualities and previous training experience is desired.
