Title: Housekeeping Dispatcher - ID: 2759

Position Summary: To direct the day-to-day work assignments of the Room Attendants by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

  1. Prepare daily paperwork for all Housekeeping associates.
  2. Communicate with front desk and maintenance department.
  3. Communicate with the laundry department on linen deliveries.
  4. Record lost and found items and coordinate the return of items to their owner. Maintain the cleanliness of the lost and found closet.
  5. Demonstrate leadership skills by motivating and organizing associate work duties and by ensuring all administrative tasks are completed
  1. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  2. Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
  3. Communicate and prioritize the cleaning of rooms with the leads.
  4. Will perform other duties as required.

The employee must regularly life and/or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service or reception experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and strong organizational and computer skills are required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Basic Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).

  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
