Summary:  To perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC/Refrigeration equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment to maintain good operating condition and extend it's use.
  • Provide inventory status and make weekly recommendation for required parts and supplies.
  • Work closely with supervisor to develop, promote and supervise energy conservation.
  • Prepare reports, as requested, to develop a more informative data base for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of Lodge and facilities to respond appropriately to guest questions, as required
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to her/his attention so prompt action can be taken when appropriate.
  • Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:  Associates Degree and/or Certificate from technical/trade school, and at least two years of work experience; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  EPA refrigerant License – Class II or universal and a Missouri class E or Arkansas D “P” endorsement designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction is required.
